March 1 – 2,  2014, Arizona: 10th annual Southwest Military Transport Show sponsored by the Arizona Historical Military Transport Association at the Commemorative Air Force Museum at Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ – home of the B-17G “Sentimental Journey”. Many exciting and unique military vehicles and aircraft will be on display as well as a military vehicle parts swap meet, collectibles, memorabilia, food and fun. March 21 – 22, 2014, Texas: Museum of the American G.I. Open House, 1303 Cherokee Dr., College Station, TX opening at 9 a.m. both days. Historic military vehicle displays, flea market, re-enactments, demonstrations, youth educational program and more are scheduled. WWII battle held at 3 p.m. Saturday, and a Friday night fund raising BBQ will be held. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, 5 and under free. Authenticity Notes: HRS Authenticity Guidelines apply to this event. All German, American and other Western Front Impressions are Welcome. WWII HRS Safety and authenticity rules apply and will be strictly enforced. All reenactors participating will have proper period hairstyles for their respective nationality. Participants will use weapons of the type their respective impression/ unit would have carried on the Western Front during this timeframe.
Prohibited Vehicles/Items: Authentic or Period vehicles only. Host unit(s) will be using several administrative vehicles to facilitate the event
No alcoholic beverages permitted on Weldon Springs Training Site. No smoking inside of buildings. Smoking in designated areas only. No Illegal Substances.
Restrictions on Minors: No one under the age of 16 will be allowed to attend this event. Attendees 16-17 years old may participate in the tactical battle but must sign any waivers and must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian or their designee.
Other restrictions: Blanks/ Pyro: HRS guidelines regarding the use of blanks will be observed at all times. No Live ammo of any kind. Pyro and smoke must be commercially purchased and pre-approved. No exceptions.
