September 2014 - Military Events



September 5 – 7, 2014, Belgium: TANKS IN TOWN 2014, Mons, Belgium to commemorate the liberation of Mons in 1944 by the 83rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd U.S. Armored Division “SPEARHEAD”. Each year features a tremendous concentration of armored vehicles, Jeeps, and Trucks peacefully invading the historic city center. This year’s event includes the 2nd Armored Tour in Europe 2014 (www.2ndarmoredineurope.co.uk). A unique worldwide event; a living museum of WWII armored vehicles. September 6 - 7, 2014, Lockport, IL: LOCKPORT WWII Event is looking for vendors for the WW2 Lockport WWII Event on Sept 6-7. www.lockportwwii.com Only $35/table for the full weekend. Last year we had over 400 reenactors and around 4000 spectators/day through the gates.

September 13, 2014, Canada Tank Saturdays at the Ontario Regiment RCAC Regimental Museum, 1000 Stevenson Rd N, Oshawa, ON, Canada from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tank Saturdays are on the second Saturday of each month from May – October with live demonstrations of operational historic armoured fighting vehicles from Canada and its Allied Forces. September 27, 2014, Linden, TN - Remembering WWII - Living History, Education and Honor.   
WWII will come alive at this all-day event featuring several WWII Veterans sharing stories of their war-time experiences (besides numerous other vets in attendance). Attendees will get a special opportunity not only to hear these men tell their stories, but also to speak with them, get a signed photo, and express gratitude personally. Our Store is the founder and 30 year sponsor of the MINNEAPOLIS-ST.PAUL MILITARY RELIC AND WEAPON COLLECTOR SHOW. The Show is held each spring & fall at the MINNESOTA STATE FAIRGROUNDS (St.Paul) in the Progress Center Building (located in northeast corner of the Fairgrounds along the Snelling Avenue fence). Exhibitor Tables are available through our Store for $50.00 each. The public is invited, show hours are from 8:00am-6:00pm on Saturday, and 9:00am-4:00pm on Sunday.
